The deadline is Friday 26th December.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<li style=\"direction: ltr;\">If you are a business with inventory, take a count as close as possible near the year-end. The cost of each item should be listed alongside the quantities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<li style=\"direction: ltr;\">Business owners should make top-up payments towards pension, Keren hishtalmut etc. to take advantage of the <a href=\"http:\/\/taxinisrael.blogspot.co.il\/2013\/12\/deductions-for-income-tax-purposes.html\">tax breaks available<\/a>. The same goes for salaried individuals who have\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/taxinisrael.blogspot.co.il\/2013\/06\/are-you-receiving-all-tax-credits-that.html\">private pension plans<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<li style=\"direction: ltr;\">If you pay\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/taxinisrael.blogspot.co.il\/2014\/01\/bituach-leumi-for-self-employed.html\">Bituach Leumi<\/a> without usng a standing order, pay by the end of the year in order to receive the deduction for tax purposes. (Those paying on standing order will have the January payment included in the 2014 certificate).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"direction: ltr;\">Make\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/taxinisrael.blogspot.co.il\/2013\/09\/tax-relief-on-donations.html\">donations<\/a> to recognized charities (section 46), and ensure the receipt is dated 2014.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"direction: ltr;\">Start collating information for \u201cshort\u201d tax returns, if relevant:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"direction: ltr;\">Israeli property income taxed on the<a href=\"http:\/\/taxinisrael.blogspot.co.il\/2013\/11\/property-income.html\">\u00a010% route<\/a>\u00a0must be reported and the tax paid by 30 January 2015.<\/li>\n<li style=\"direction: ltr;\">Foreign property income taxes on the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/taxinisrael.blogspot.co.il\/2013\/11\/property-income.html\">15% route<\/a>\u00a0and foreign interest, dividends and\/or capital gains must be reported and the tax paid by 30 April 2015.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">For business owners, consider whether you need to increase the amount you need to pay on account for both income tax and bituach Leumi. If you don\u2019t, expect to pay interest on the extra payments once the tax return is eventually filed. For Bituach Leumi, this will mean letting them\u00a0know that you wish to increase by the end of the year. For income tax, voluntary payments can be made anytime.
